Lunch Interview Bloopers

• Ordering the most expensive thing on the menu. If you do, it's likely to be the last thing you ever get out of that company.

• Ordering something that's difficult to eat. That includes salads so crunchy that you can't hear what's being said to you over the sound of your chewing, sandwiches so thick you can't get your mouth around them, and any kind of pasta that has to be twirled around a fork.

• Boorish manners. For you, this lunch isn't really about food. Just eat enough to be polite. Focus your energies on using the opportunity to present yourself to the interviewer professionally.
